New Acropolis: from appearance to reality
New Acropolis is a group identified as a destructive sect since 1995 by the French National Assembly in Act 2468. New Acropolis is banned in Turkey and Egypt, and is also identified as a destructive sect by international academic and humanist organizations, by support networks for victims of sects, as well as by regional governments that have severed ties with that organization. The classification of destructive sect used to identify New Acropolis is that established by the expert André Dénaux: “destructive sects are pseudo-religious, pseudo-philosophical or pseudo-cultural organizations, with a pyramidal and totalitarian structure, dedicated to recruiting followers to exploit them through false promises and techniques of psychological coercion, always for the benefit of the leaders’ lust for power and profit.” New Acropolis has held the title of “International Philosophical Organization” since 2011, after using since its creation in 1957 that of “non-profit cultural association”, adopting labels such as “School of philosophy in the classical mere sense” and more recently “New Acropolis Foundation”. Although it names its subgroups as “institutes” or has environmental activities, its real interest has no relation to culture or the environment, but to indoctrination and the production of goods and money. NA_Manual_Dirigente.pdf (787549) Judicial ruling Spain Excerpt from the Judgment of the Provincial Court of Madrid, 15th Section, Judgment of Sep. 16, 2000 "it happens that that entity --like some other equally controversial ones--, because of the particularities of its ideology and its symbolism, what is known about its form of internal organization, the lack of transparency of its sources of financing and the tenor of some of its activities, arouse concern in broad social and institutional sectors, to the point of being classified in widely disseminated investigative literature in the category of 'destructive sects.' That this is the case in the case of the Asociación Cultural Nueva Acrópolis is inferred from the documentation submitted to this case, which includes various works and documents published in our country and abroad with precise information about it and, also, writings due to its founder and some of its most significant exponents. From all this it follows that the entity is endowed with a rigid system of organization and discipline of a military cast, has adopted the Roman salute, practices training in the handling of the sword and other weapons and makes use of uniforms and paraphernalia similar to those of well-known totalitarian organizations. That it professes and disseminates a theosophy that induces the fanatical assumption of ideas expressed with categories such as 'new spiritual Race' and 'Superman' and promotes adherence to a mystique of 'total surrender' to a certain 'Acropolitan Ideal', in which 'killing can be an act of love.' There is also some material published and likewise provided to the case that contains references, specifically, to a practice known as the 'abduction of the Sabines,' which alludes to the use of sexual tactics for the recruitment of adherents. What has just been stated in a synthetic way --it must be insisted on-- is disseminated with the utmost clarity in texts published in the most diverse media and is part of a climate of opinion on sects with concrete echo in institutions such as the Spanish Courts, the Belgian Parliament, the French National Assembly and the European Parliament, to name some significant examples. It is also a relevant part of the daily discourse of associations such as those grouped in the Federation Européenne des Centres de Recherche et d Information sur le Sectarisme. In 1957 he established the sect's first headquarters in the Peruvian capital, Lima. He was a theosophist. Outwardly New Acropolis presented itself from the beginning as a philosophical school seeking a "new humanism". Livraga held the title of professor and doctor. Since 1987, in the book "Caballeros de ahora" by Andée Bosbeke, it is reported that Livraga claimed to belong to the international "Academia Azteca de Artes, Ciencias y Letras", a fake academy, subsection of the fake university "Universidad Internacional de Moctezuma". This university is an invention of the Spanish multinational swindler Guillermo Grau, who everywhere invented knightly titles and noble titles that do not exist. Livraga wanted the cult image of an academically capable and serious organization. The heads of the New Acropolis secretariats in about 40 countries, the "national commanders", are always called "professors" in bombastic statements and titles that Livraga and his organization never had. With the appearance of: (CENTRO CULTURAL CASTALIA) LINKED ENTITIES GEA –VOLUNTEERING DONA-FOR WOMEN EL CRESOL- THEATER TRISTÁN INSTITUTE- ART The prevailing tone is a local established in a city, made up of several associations closely linked to each other by the NA sect, giving the appearance of a venue that groups a neighborhood association. Apparently, the associations of the venue have no links between them, which facilitates the citizen's access to the venue and not the other way around – it is not the sect that tries to access the population but to ensure that the population accesses it. It is curious that by jumping from link to link in less than four clicks the New Acropolis logo appears again. The journalist Pepe Rodríguez, of the magazine TIEMPO, author of the article that exposed the sectarian nature of this organization, already spoke about the link of Gea Voluntariado on its website when he cites in a letter to a member of the organization. On the website he already reported on the trial for illegal possession of weapons of the founder of the sect. An attempt is made to create the appearance of independence between the "neighborhood" associations and NA, but a link is always found which explains the ease of accessing NA through these supposed associations. A direct testimony reports that after some theater classes they made him attend a "philosophical talk" in which he did not notice anything strange. The association is already prepared when it is installed in the premises, and activities of all kinds begin to be promoted, being relevant in the schedules of the Centre Cultural Castalia of Castellón de la Plana that out of every three activities two are NA. There are abundant "philosophical" conferences and help workshops. GEA presents itself on its website as a group of Volunteers, but searching on Google we find that each GEA headquarters shares premises in associations of the Centre Cultural Castalia and returning again to NA, sometimes to the sect's website and other times to a FB page. GEA has been awarded the SOLIDARITY AWARD IN STORIES OF LIGHT in Cádiz, due to its appearance as a LAWFUL ASSOCIATION since it appears completely separate from NA in appearance, being in reality another recruitment mechanism. The journalist Pepe Rodríguez refers that the volunteers do work for the organization In Castellón, in an article on the NA website the name José Luis Romero Peñalver appears castellon.nueva-acropolis.es/castellon-actividades/actividades-realizadas/28229-charla-realizada-hablamos-sobre-la-busqueda-de-la-felicidad and when searching in records he appears as self-employed in Castellón on a street close to that of the C.C.Castalia.
